These 6 volt to 12 volt dc-dc converters have been custom designed specifically for the 6 volt automotive market. Works for both positive ground and negative ground to cover all 6 volt vehicles. The converters will operate on an input voltage as low as 4 volts. The standby current is less than 3 milliamps, about the same as the clock in the radio, which makes it ideal for a security system. Two outputs are provided, one switched for heavy load items, the second is 'always on" to provide power for the radio setting and clock. Both 6 to 12 volt dc-dc converters are designed using state of the art components on a professional grade printed circuit board, all enclosed in an extruded aluminum housing for years of trouble free service.
